As performer, Alcalde have studied through master-class with international percussionists as: Daniel Riveiro, Ramón Perez, Ton Risco, Roberto Oliveira, Cesar Peris, Pedro Varea, Nancy Zeltsman, Nick Woud, Tobias Guttmann, Lorenzo Ferrandiz, Ali N'Dianye, Romain Kuonen, Jan Putsjens, Bodgan Bacanu, Juanjo Guillem, Josep Vicent & Diego Ventoso.

As composer, have studied "Scoring for Motion Pictures & Videogames" with international composers, among who won the "Oscar - Academy Award" and also "Golden Globes" as: Michael Giacchino (Up, Jurassic World & Dawn of the Planet of Apes), Patrick Doyle (Thor, Frankenstein & Harry Potter IV), Hans Zimmer (GladiatorInception Interstellar), Wataru Hokoyama (Afrika) and the Spanish film critic Conrado Xalabarder (The Music Script in Film).  Also have studied modern harmony Alfredo Susavila and developed some composition techniques with Andrés Valero-Castells. 

With just 11 years old, Alcalde premiered and conducted his first chamber work "Pictures", performed by international percussion ensemble formed by the proffessors Nancy Zeltsman, Nick Woud, Cesar Peris, Roberto Oliveira, Juan Collazo & Ton Risco. Also, his "Concertino" for solo-timpani was premiered by Nick Woud students, at Amsterdam Conservatory of Music, 2005.

At 15 years old, Alcalde won first prize in the "II Iberoamerican Composition Contest for Band" of international character, becoming the youngest winner in the history of the contest. At 16, he won first prize in all categories of "II Galician Composition Contest for Band" and repeating first prize in the III and IV edition of this contest, being the youngest composer to be awarded at all modalities within the same edition. With only 17 years, Alcalde was invited by the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC) to give a lecture about the creative process and techniques of composition for the audiovisual media, held within the Department of Music History at the Faculty of History. Also, Alcalde is the youngest lecturer to be invited by the university.

In 2013 received two nominations for the prestigious "Hollywood Music in Media Awards" in the classic and contemporary categories, held in the emblematic "Henry Fonda Theatre", Los Angeles (California). In 2014, receives the silver medal at the prestigious "Global Music Awards" held in San Diego, out of more than 40,000 composers and artist from the world music industry. 

In 2016 premiered his work "Holograms, op.20", commissioned and dedicated to international percussionist Roberto Oliveira, at the Royal Irish Academy of Music in Dublin, interpreted during the "Extravaganza Percussion Festival". In 2017 premiered his work "Living Toys", commissioned and dedicated to the Izumo Symphonic Band -Enishi- and his conductor Keiju Kuromatsu, in the Izumo Concert Hall (Japan). Also in 2017 writes " Resonant Isles, op.23 (In memoriam of Charles E. Ives)" as mandatory piece of the first category of "XII International Bands Competition Vila de la Sènia" in 2018 & is selected to complete a residence of composition offered by prestigious ArtsIceland Institute from Iceland.

Since 2016, under the Aalcalde Music label, he has developed his own publishing project. Is member of AGC (Galician Association of Composers) and his works have been performed in countries as: Portugal, France, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, USA, Canada, México, Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, Norway, Taiwan, Japan & Australia. Have received commissions by prestigious festivals and institutions as Bevers Harmonieorkest, Real Filharmonía de Galicia, Izumo Symphonic Band -Enishi-, International Short-Film Festival "CurtoCircuito", Consello da Cultura Galega, International Bands Competition "Vila de la Sènia"; chamber ensembles as Púrpura Pansa Quartet & Hércules Brass, and also of international soloists as David Pont Ripoll, Roberto Oliveira, Alexandre Doisy & Hiroko Yamakawa. Highlighting performances such offered by Banda Sinfónica Portuguesa, Banda Municipal de A Coruña, Young Symphonic Band "Simón Bolivar", Gran Canaria Wind Orchestra, Utah University Wind Orchestra, Simfonic Wind Ensemble, Musikgesellschaft Konkordia Egerkingen, Harmonie Municipale de Sion & Ghent University Wind Ensemble & Real Filharmonía de Galicia.

His works has won the following awards and commendations:

Como intérprete estudou e cursou master-class con percusionistas de ámbito internacional como: Daniel Riveiro, Ramón Perez, Ton Risco, Roberto Oliveira, Cesar Peris, Pedro Varea, Nancy Zeltsman, Nick Woud, Tobias Guttmann, Lorenzo Ferrandiz, Ali N’Dianye, Romain Kuonen, Jan Putsjens, Bodgan Bacanu, Juanjo Guillem, Josep Vicent e Diego Ventoso.

Como compositor cursou “Scoring for motion pictures & videogames” con compositores de ámbito internacional, entre os que se atopan gañadores do Oscar e dos Globos de Ouro como: Michael Giacchino (Up, Jurassic World e o Dawn of the Planets of Apes), Patrick Doyle (Thor, Frankenstein e Harry Potter IV), Hans Zimmer (GladiatorInception Interstellar), Wataru Hokoyama (Afrika) e o crítico do cinema Conrado Xalabarder (The Music Script in Film). Tamén estudou harmonía moderna co mestre Alfredo Susavila e técnicas de composición co mestre Andrés Valero-Castells.


Con tan solo 11 anos, Alcalde estrea e dirixe a súa primeira obra de cámara "Pictures", interpretada por un ensemble internacional de percusión formado polos mestres Nancy Zeltsman, Nick Woud, Cesar Peris, Roberto Oliveira, Juan Collazo e Ton Risco. Tamén estrea o seu "Concertino" para timbais, interpretado polos estudantes de Nick Woud no Amsterdam Conservatory of Music, 2005.


Con 15 anos, Alcalde gaña o primeiro premio no “II Concurso de Composición Iberoamericano para Banda” de ámbito internacional, sendo o premiado máis novo na historia do concurso. Con 16 anos, obtén o primeiro premio en todas as categorías do “II Concurso de Composición Galego para Banda” e repetindo o primeiro premio na III e IV edición de dito concurso, sendo o compositor máis novo en resultar premiado mais en gañar en todas as modalidades dentro dunha misma edición. Aos 17 anos, Alcalde é convidado pola Universidad de Santiago de Compostela (USC) para impartir unha conferencia sobre o proceso creativo e as técnicas de composición para o medio audiovisual, celebrado dentro do departamento de Historia da Música, na Facultade de Historia. Sendo tamén o conferenciante máis novo en ser invitado pola universidad.


No ano 2013 recibe dúas nominación aos prestixiosos “Hollywood Music in Media Awards” dentro das categorías classics e contemporary, celebrados no emblemático “Teatro Henry Fonda” de Los Ángeles (California). No ano 2014 recibe a medalla de prata nos prestixiosos “Global Music Awards” celebrados en San Diego, de entre máis de 40,000 compositores e artistas dedicados á industria da música.


No 2016 estrea a súa obra “Holograms, op.20”, comisionada e adicada ao percusionista internacional Roberto Oliveira, na Real Academia da Música de Dublín; estreada durante o recorrer do “Extravaganza Percussion Festival”. No 2017 estrea a súa obra "Living Toys", comisionada e adicada á Izumo Symohonic Band -Enishi- e ao seu director Keiju Kuromatsu, no Izumo Concert Hall (Xapón). Dende o 2016, Alcalde ven publicando todo o seu catálogo baixo o seu propio selo editorial, Aalcalde Music. É membro da AGC (Asociación Galega de Compositores) e a súa música é interpretada en países como: Portugal, Francia, Irlanda,  Italia, Alemania, Bélxica, Holanda, USA, Canadá, México, Colombia, Venezuela, Brasil, Noruega, Taiwán, Xapón e Australia. Recibe encargos de importantes festivais e institucións como a Bevers Harmoniorkest, Real Filharmonía de Galicia, Izumo Symphonic Band -Enishi-, Festival Internacional de Cine "CurtoCircuito", Consello da Cultura Galega, Certamen Internacional de Bandas "Vila da Sènia"; os grupos de cámara  Púrpura Pansa Quartet e Hércules Brass, así como dos solistas de ámbito internacional David Pont Ripoll, Roberto Oliveira, Alexandre Doisy e Hiroko Yamakawa. Destacando interpretacións por parte de prestixiosas institucións como a Banda Sinfónica Portuguesa, Banda Municipal de A Coruña, Banda ´Sinfónica Xuvenil "Simón Bolivar", Gran Canaria Wind Orchestra, Utah State University Wind Orchestra, Simfonic Wind Ensemble, Musikgesellschaft Konkordia Egerkingen, Harmonie Municipale de Sion e a Ghent University Wind Ensemble e a Real Filharmonía de Galicia.
